Gillian MacLaren Jacobs

Gillian MacLaren Jacobs born October 19th, 1982 is an American actor from the United States. Her credits include Britta Perry (NBC comedy series from 2009 to 2015), Mickey Dobbs (Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016)-2018), and Atom Eve (Amazon animated series Invincible 2021). She had a recurring role as Mimi-Rose in the fourth season of the HBO comedy-drama series Girls (2012-2017) and has appeared in films like Life Partners (2014), Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015), Don't Think Twice (2016), Brother Nature (2016), Life of the Party (2018), Ibiza (2018), I Used to Go Here (2020) as well as the Fear Street trilogy (2021). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was conceived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1982. Martina Magenau Jacobs is her mother. She works at Carnegie Mellon University in alumni relations. Her father, William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker. Her father was killed in the year 2013. Her mother raised her in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned Erie Brewing Company (not the same as the later brewery of that name). While growing up, Jacobs attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed frequently at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. There she also won the Public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest. That resulted in her playing Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. After finishing her studies at Mt. Lebanon High School in 2000, she moved to New York City to attend the Juilliard School, where she graduated with a BFA in 2004.
