Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor from Canada. Her most well-known role is on American television's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She also appeared in films such as RoboCop 3 and Most Wanted as well as the indie films Chutney Popcorn and The Acting Class The Acting Class, which she co-wrote and directed. Hennessy was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Her father, John Hennessy, was a meat salesman and executive in sales and marketing, a position that required considerable travel and led to frequent relocations for the family. Maxine the secretary mother of Maxine, left the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, cared for her daughter, who lived in Kitchener. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother as well as Jacqueline, a twin sister. Jacqueline works as a journalist and host on a Canadian TV program. Hennessy is a mixture of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian heritage on her father's side and mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy as well as her sister were the first to act as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. She was short listed to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who was eventually offered the role.She was on Broadway in the musical Buddy The Buddy Holly Story in 1990. The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. She played the character for three seasons, and was fired in the year 1996.
