Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actress from Canada. She was the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 to 2010, she played Becky Richards in the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules! She was on the screen from 2009 until in the year 2010. She portrayed Annika Johnson in the A&E television show Bates Motel. Spiridakos has starred in the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. Spiridakos plays Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos who both were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two brothers. When she was born, her family relocated to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly identifies with her Greek roots and is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting at junior high school. She continued her studies at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within weeks landed her first television job which was a small part in Supernatural. She continued to appear on television, playing walk-on characters on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was a part of the TV movie Goblin and also in the web-based show Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean was the werewolf. In 2009, she won her first starring part in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15-year old Becky Richards. Her first feature film appearance was in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos was Sammi in Rags which was an Nickelodeon original movie. The role of Charlotte Matheson, a survivalist living in a dystopian civilization, was her main character in the NBC TV show Revolution. She was auditioning while at her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos recorded the pilot in Atlanta as well as the first season in Wilmington. The actress was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television for her performance in the initial season however she was defeated by Fringe's Anna Torv. Production moved to Austin, Texas for the series' second season.
