Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor, director musician, actor, and actor who has helmed many episodes of TV that include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others. She was also the Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018), and she is slated to direct two pilots that are in development. Milena was one of the eight filmmakers chosen by AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women, as well as the exclusive Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. Unspeakable was her television series as well as a short film. With Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort the film was awarded the best episodic award at the Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. The film she made, Temporary (2017) was screened throughout the United States. She won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared on more than 100 episodes of television as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She later became the first and only female detective in Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on in a number of other shows: K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as for the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has appeared in many films, including Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Milena was valedictorian of high school, and then enrolled in two majors in singing and pre-med, with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma, also graduating valedictorian. Then, she used her classical ballet skills to take part on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' in Studio 54.
