Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born May 12, 1972. She is known best for playing attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), in which she has been a two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She's also appeared on NBC's Whitney (2011)-2013 as well as ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was the executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service. The family lived in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and moved around a lot during her childhood. From a young age, she was inspired by her grandparent and grandmother to learn about drawing, painting and architecture. She continued pursuing the art of drawing, but also developed a growing passion for acting and was exposed to contemporary theater at the age of college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. While at university, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the encouragement of her acting coach. She attempted to be noticed by working different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. She was able get certain parts in local theatre productions. But, she required odd jobs to survive. To pay the bills she was also able to take on the roles of short industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to be cast in TV productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous and funny" as her role model Bea Arthur. But, the majority of these roles were for short-run shows that were cancelled after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was the lead in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is an attorney and the lover of Jimmy McGill/Saul (Bob Odenkirk).
