Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American TV personality who is a chef, and a former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde wigs and a pumped-up personality, explains how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied following her graduation with an English degree as well as a communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most enjoyable time of my life. I was never able to be more educated or accomplished in my studies. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year studying at classes at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin highly rated restaurant) located in Tuscany. While in Italy she came to appreciate and understand the philosophy behind Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact from a culinary point of view. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve children's lives who are facing challenges. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the nation in her capacity as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne has, through her whole culinary journey has stated that it's a pleasure to have the opportunity to share her passion for food with other people.
